The firm offers assistance to industrial, municipal,
governmental, institutional, and individual clients in all
areas of environmental law. Firm attorneys handle
matters ranging from rule adoption to permitting, to
compliance evaluation and, when necessary, through
enforcement. We help clients develop and implement
strategies in complicated or sensitive matters, and
work closely with regulatory agencies as necessary on
innovative or novel applications. We assist clients in
presenting the client's project and addressing
questions at public meetings and represent the client in
contested case hearings when required.
In addition to handling individual client matters the
firm has experience in building coalitions between
parties with common interests and seeking
common goals. These efforts are most
particularly helpful in proposed regulatory actions
that will potentially impact many parties, or in
some adversarial forums, e.g., federal or state
Superfund actions, where parties could benefit
from consensus efforts rather than retreating to a
self-centered defense.
